| Hello to you all, I am creating this thread as I am a fan of anime when I have nothing to do and have spare time. These are my opinions, but I hope you find some anime you like and will enjoy. (SPOILERS WILL HOLD THE DESCRIPTION, REVEAL SPOILER FOR ANIME DESCRIPTION!) And to start us off... Fate/Stay Night - Action, Fantasy, Drama, Romance, Supernatural. (8/10)- Spoiler:
The Fate/Stay Night anime is an action-packed adventure that dwells into the life of student Emiya Shirou, harboring good animation, a decent plot and romance that grows throughout the series. It's definetly a good series to watch and will keep you interested for a few hours. Code Geass - Action, Mecha, School, Super Power, Military (9.5/10)- Spoiler:
Code Geass comes packed with two highly addictive, action-packed seasons surrounding Lelouch Lamperouge and his alter-ego, Zero. It has a great plot, the fights are great, the animation is smooth and is packed with a good ending. Only thing it could upgrade on is the animation, by a little bit! DEFINETLY worth the time to watch.
Heroic Age - Action, Drama, Mecha, Sci-fi (8.5/10)- Spoiler:
Heroic Age surrounds the mystical Age, left behind on a planet by the now-disappeared Golden Race, who is found by the Iron Race known as Humanity. It details the two's adventures as they seek to unlock the key to Humanity's victory over the Golden and Silver races. Overall, it's got a good plot, smooth animation and nice fight scenes with bits of romance to finish it off. Will keep you occupied for a few hours, and is definetly one of the sci-fi animes I would recommend. Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica - Drama, Fantasy, Romance, Shounen (9/10)- Spoiler:
Shinyoku is set in the continent of Polyphonica, where spirits survive on the music played by human musicians (known as Dantists, playing their music through the special musical instrument, the "Commandia") and live together with them. The story surrounds a young dantist Phoron, and his new spirit, Corticarte, as their story in Polyphonica is beginning. Overall, a good plot, nice animation with good fight scenes, slightly sweet at times, but still a great anime to watch. Shakugan no Shana - Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance, School, Super Power, Supernatural (10/10)- Spoiler:
Not long after he enters high school, Sakai Yuji’s normal days come to an end. He sees something bizarre on his way home: people are frozen in a strange fire, and a monster that looks like a large doll is attacking them. Just when he's about to be killed, a girl in a dark cloak wielding a large sword appears, and slices the monster in half. Although Yuji survives the strange encounter, the girl informs him of a desolate truth: " 'You' don't exist anymore."
She calls herself a Flame Haze who hunts "Guze no Tomogara"; intruders from another world. She explains to him that he is a "Torch", a substitute of Yuji whose “existence” has already been devoured. She also told him that he is a special Torch, "Mystes", which contains a precious item in it. When he looks at his chest, he sees within himself a faint flame, just as she said.
One of the greatest anime I have ever watched, definetly worth watching if you have nothing to do, with good fighting scenes, great animation and good battle scenes and a progressing romance, this story harbours almost everything you would like to see in an anime. Asu no Yoichi! - Romantic Comedy, Martial Arts, Harem (8/10)- Spoiler:
Asu no Yoichi! is based on the adventures of a young martial artist known as Yoichi Karasuma being sent to the city to learn the ways of martial arts with the Ikaruga Family. Along the way, he meets several new friends, and several new foes. Overall, a good anime with an interesting plot, although it does contain holes, it makes up for it by its good fight scenes (although not too often). Worth the watch if your bored. (M or W)Macademi Wasshoi! - Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy, Romance, School, Supernatural (7.5/10)- Spoiler:
Macademi Wasshoi! is a series based on a young man known as Takuto Hasegawa, who attends a magic academy that is not marked on any map. During a summoning spell exam, he accidentally creates a girl named Tanarot, who happens to hold enough magical power to destroy his country, but fortunately Tanarot professes undying loyalty to her "creator." Overall, the anime contains good animation, a good plot with lots of comedy and romance intertwined, and spiced off with some good fighting scenarios, but doesn't excel in any categories. 07-Ghost - Action, Fantasy, Supernatural (8.5/10)- Spoiler:
The story is based around a boy known as Teito Klein, a former slave who now attends the Barsburg Empire's military academy due to his ability to use Zaiphon, a type of supernatural power. The ability is rare and thus highly prized.Teito is an amnesiac and doesn't remember anything of his past. It follows his adventures over the land as he attempts to learn more about his past, and defeat his foes. Overall, a great series to watch with a very interesting plot, good action scenes and smooth animation. Chrome Shelled Regios - Fantasy, Adventure, Post-Apocalyptic, Romance (8.5/10)- Spoiler:
In a post-apocalyptic polluted earth overrun with mutated beasts called Filth Monsters, humanity is forced to live in large mobile cities called Regios and learn to use weapons called DITE and harness the power of Kei to defend themselves. In the Academy City of Zuellni, Layfon Alseif is hoping to start a new life and forget his past. However, his past has caught the attention of Karian Loss, the Student Council President and Nina Antalk, a Military Arts student and Captain of the 17th Platoon, who instantly recognizes his abilities and decides he’s the perfect candidate to join her group. Overall, a great plot with smooth animation, good battle scenes and a nicely laid out plot. The ending is a bit uninforming however, in the way it leaves the romance unresolved, and bad guys remain.
MORE SHOWS TO BE ADDED.[/u][/i][/b]

| hmm i think a link to a list will fit better than an endless list of animes you watched, so i suggest once again: "write the name + link to a site or add a link to a list where you ranked animes and stuff" | |

| Actually, I'll just spoiler the descriptions so they are optional. And provide a link to an anime site or two. | |

| I'm the one writing it, not you, and no, I am adding new anime to the list, along with new things. Also, my opinion may have changed on quite a few of them, so that's why I am not jst 'copy and pasting' it from the old forums - which will be removed, by the way. | |

| Seriously aen, linking to another topic in another forum is in no way easier to access than posting it in the same topic. Also, whats wrong with posting anime that others have posted in another forum? We really have to stop discouraging everyone whos trying to help out. | |
